Break the Silence This Winter
This winter, Rape Crisis South London is helping survivors find voice, safety, and support
5 out of 6 women in the UK never report sexual violence.
Among students, 90% never do.
Silence is often mistaken for calm, especially at this time of year. But for many survivors, silence is heavy, isolating, and unsafe. While winter is framed as a season of light and togetherness, survivors can be left carrying fear, shame, and trauma alone.
Rape Crisis South London exists to change that.
RCSL is a specialist provider supporting women and girls who have experienced rape, sexual violence, and childhood sexual abuse. Through counselling, advocacy, training, prevention, and outreach, they work every day to ensure survivors are believed, respected, and supported - and to move us closer to a world free from sexual violence.
This winter, RCSL continues to break the silence by providing specialist talking therapy and advocacy. Their counsellors help survivors find their voice, process trauma, and step back into the world with strength, at their own pace.
Your support helps make this possible:
£10 - sensory supplies for play therapy and creative grounding
£25 - survivor-led focus groups to keep services survivor-informed
£36 - one hour of advocacy support through the criminal justice system
£75 - tailored, in-person talking therapy
£95 - group therapy, offering community and shared understanding
£295 - sexual violence prevention training for schools and community organisations
By supporting RCSL, you are joining a community that listens, believes, and stands alongside survivors - this winter, into the new year, and beyond.
