MYH 16 Days Spotlight

Spotlighting Our Trusted Friends for 16 days of activism against Gender-based Violence

Change doesn’t happen in isolation - it comes from communities, networks, and individuals who use their voice and energy to push for better. In the work we do, we’ve been fortunate to connect with some incredible friends and allies who are leading conversations online, building awareness, and advocating for justice in powerful ways.

Too often, the voices of victims and survivors are pushed aside, or the issues affecting them are spoken about without them. That’s why it matters so much to highlight and amplify people who are not only speaking truth, but also creating space for others to be heard. Our trusted friends are doing exactly that - whether by challenging harmful systems, raising awareness of rights, or using creativity and culture to connect people with the reality of what survivors face.

This isn’t about popularity or numbers; it’s about impact. Each of these friends brings something essential: lived experience, insight, and the courage to speak when silence is easier. They remind us that advocacy isn’t always comfortable, but it is necessary. They use their platforms not just to share their own voice, but to hold doors open for others - making sure that experiences of injustice don’t go unseen and that support reaches those who need it.

We want to celebrate them, not only for the work they’re already doing but for the energy they carry - the drive to keep going, even in the face of resistance. In a world where systems can feel unmovable, they prove that persistence, solidarity, and creativity really can shift the ground beneath them.

So this is our small spotlight: a curated selection of trusted friends whose work we deeply admire. If you’re looking for voices that bring honesty, awareness, and hope, we encourage you to follow, support, and share their work. Advocacy is stronger when it’s collective, and raising awareness is something we can all play a part in.
