A King’s College London interview-based study exploring women of colour’s experiences of the criminal justice system after sexual violence in adulthood
A UK-wide doctoral research project at King’s College London is seeking participants.
Urvashi Panchal, a doctoral researcher and survivor, is exploring the experiences of women of colour navigating the criminal justice system following sexual assault or rape in adulthood.
A message from Urvashi
“My name is Urvashi Panchal, and I am a doctoral student and researcher at King’s College London. I am currently recruiting for an interview-based research project exploring the experience women of colour have navigating the criminal justice system following experiences of sexual violence in adulthood.
We are also interested in understanding women’s support needs at this time. I feel very passionately about highlighting the experience of women of colour who are survivors. As a survivor myself and someone who’s worked at the havens (sexual assault referral centre), I’ve noticed that there’s just no research - and without this, there’s no change for women of colour!
I’m really hoping to make a difference.”
