Your Voice Can Change the System

LGBT+ survivors in England and Wales are invited to join Galop’s new research group

Who can take part:

• LGBT+ people aged 18+
• Living in England or Wales
• Have experienced domestic abuse, sexual violence, and/or hate crime
• Received support from a service in the last 3 years
• Not used that support service in the past 6 months
• Not currently in an unsafe or abusive situation

Who can take part:

You’ll join quarterly online sessions and may help with elements of the research process. Galop offers £50 per hour for participation, paid by bank transfer or voucher.

Why this matters:

It’s a chance to share lived experience, inform national research, and strengthen support for LGBT+ survivors. Contributions are anonymous, handled in accordance with GDPR, and data is deleted by May 2026.

Content note:

The interest form asks about past experiences of violence and abuse. If that doesn’t feel right for you at this time, it’s okay not to continue.

How to register:

Complete the Survivor Research Group Interest Form. Galop will review submissions and contact selected participants as capacity allows.
